How do I place an order?
Start by getting in touch through the enquiry form. Tell me what you'd like, when you need it, how many people you're ordering for, and any ideas you already have. We'll go through the details together, and once everything is agreed, a 50% deposit secures your booking.
-
How far in advance should I order?
I ask for at least one week's notice. Some larger orders or more detailed designs may need a little more time, especially during busy periods. If you're working with a shorter timeline, you can still ask and I'll let you know what's possible.
-
I have something specific in mind. Can you make it?
Quite possibly. The Services page gives you an idea of what I bake, but it isn't a complete list. Tell me what you're thinking and I'll let you know what's possible.
-
Can I send you a picture or idea for my cake?
Absolutely. Reference pictures are always helpful, especially for colours, themes, shapes or general style. I use them as inspiration rather than promising an exact copy.
-
Can I request a particular flavour?
Yes. Tell me what you have in mind and I'll let you know what's available for the bake you're ordering. Some flavour combinations may require a little adjustment.
-
How much will my order cost?
It depends on the size, flavour, quantity, design and level of decoration. Once I know what you're looking for, I'll give you a clear price before anything is confirmed.
-
Do I need to pay a deposit?
Yes. A 50% deposit is required to secure your booking and your date. Your order isn't considered confirmed until the deposit has been received.
-
When is the remaining payment due?
The remaining 50% is due three days before collection or delivery.
-
Can I make changes after my order is confirmed?
You can ask. If there's enough time, I'll do my best to accommodate changes. Depending on what's already been prepared, a change may affect the price or may not be possible.
I'll always let you know before making any changes that affect the cost.
-
Where are your bakes made?
Everything is baked personally in my home kitchen. There isn't a shop or production line behind the scenes. It's just me, my kitchen and your order.
-
Do you use cake mixes?
No. I don't use boxed cake mixes or premade cake bases. I work with the basics you'd expect in a home kitchen, including flour, butter, sugar and eggs.
No shortcuts, no mixes, no rush... just enough time to get it right.
-
Are your bakes made fresh?
Yes. Orders are prepared around your collection or delivery date rather than sitting around waiting to be sold.
-
Do you deliver, or is it pickup only?
Both are available in most cases. Pickup is arranged from the home kitchen, and local delivery can be arranged for an additional fee depending on distance. Let me know your preference when you place your order.
-
Can you accommodate allergies or dietary restrictions?
Some dietary adjustments may be possible depending on the request - let me know about any allergies or preferences when you order, and I'll let you know what can be done. Please note this is a home kitchen, not an allergen-free facility.
-
Can I cancel my order?
Please contact me as soon as you know. Because orders are made specifically for you and preparation may already have started, whether a cancellation can be refunded will depend on how far along the order is and the terms agreed when booking.
-
Can I change my collection or delivery date?
Let me know as soon as possible and I'll check whether the new date is available. A date change is only confirmed once we've agreed on it.
-
What happens if I need to make a last-minute change?
Tell me as soon as you can. I'll always try to help where possible, but some changes may not be possible once ingredients have been purchased or preparation has begun.
